Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Worldwide Delivery Increase

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles worldwide delivery increase of 11.2 per cent between January and November

 

  • Delivery increase of 27.3 per cent in the month of November
  • Growth of 15.4 per cent in Western Europe
  • Plus 12.2 per cent deliveries in Germany
  • Deliveries of T model range up by 17.4 per cent; Caddy model range up by 19.9 per cent

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Worldwide Delivery IncreaseHannover, 9 December 2016 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles records a significant growth of worldwide deliveries with 433,900 units from January to November (+11.2 per cent). In the month November alone, the brand lay considerably ahead of last year’s figures with 42,900 vehicles delivered (+27.3 per cent).

Bram Schot, Member of the Board of Management for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for Sales and Marketing: “The outstanding results show that our customer-oriented vehicles are well received within the market. Especially in our major sales markets, the demand for our successful models is still increasing – the delivery figures have risen once again in November and our factories are still producing at full power.”

In Germany, 112,800 vehicles were handed over to customers from January until November (+15.4 per cent). The volume European markets of Italy (up 46.7 per cent to 10,200 vehicles), Spain (up 30.8 per cent to 12,200 vehicles), France (up 23.2 per cent to 17,500 vehicles) and Great Britain (up 4.1 per cent to 46,100 vehicles) recorded great increases, too.

In Eastern Europe, 31,800 vehicles were delivered. This is equivalent to an increase of 14.6 per cent.

Outside Europe, growth was recorded in the regions of North America (up 24.6 per cent to 7,500 vehicles), Africa (up 4.8 per cent to 14,300 vehicles), Middle East (up 4.8 per cent to 31,900 vehicles) and Asia-Pacific (up 0.5 per cent to 19,800 vehicles).

Deliveries of the brand fell by 12.1 per cent to 30,000 vehicles in the South American markets.
