If you have not yet submitted your entry for the SABOA Fleet Safety Awards, you still have a chance. The first-round entries have been extended to 7 August 2023. The number of entries for the inaugural event are impressive but we know there are even more bus operators and fleet managers deserving of the chance to win one of the Awards.
The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says bus operators and fleet managers not only stand the chance to be recognised for their efforts in safely carrying citizens to their destination but will be personally rewarded. “The winner of Best Fleet Manager will walk away with a R10 000 cash prize. It is important to not only recognise the winner but give that person a token of appreciation as well.
“Additionally, the top placing entrant will also win a fleet management course to take their skills to even higher levels than what was reached at the SABOA Fleet Safety Awards. We endeavour to make the Awards a memorable event which winners and participants are proud to be involved in. Accordingly, both those attending and top placing entrants could take home other career-enhancing prizes.”
It is not just the entrants in the Best Fleet Manager category that will be well-rewarded. “In addition to the above-mentioned prizes, the winner of the Best Operator category will take home bragging rights. The organisation will win the floating trophy which is aptly named after an illustrious figure who is dedicated to improving road safety. This will be revealed at the gala evening where winners will be announced.
“Consequently, MasterDrive and SABOA strongly encourage all bus operators and their fleet managers to enter the SABOA Fleet Safety Awards. A great leap can be made in promoting road safety if we show appreciation for and encourage those that are setting an example as models of road safety.
