CASE Construction Equipment SA’s F-series wheel loaders

CASE 621F wheel loader
CASE 621F wheel loader – there are four working modes (max, economy, normal and auto) which allow the operator to maximise productivity and reduce fuel consumption.

CASE Construction Equipment South Africa’s range of full-size F-series wheel loaders has advanced features for faster operation, higher productivity, lower fuel consumption and improved safety on site.

“The F-series wheel loaders, with reduced emissions, also offers increased power ratings, a additional lifting capacity and greater break-out force,” says Ross Collard, Managing Director of CASE Construction Equipment SA, part of the Capital Equipment Group (CEG) of Invicta Holdings Limited. “Four models in the F-series are available locally – 621F, 821F, 921F and 1021F machines – each designed for efficient and safe operation in arduous applications in diverse industries, including construction, quarrying, mining and waste handling.

“The robust F-series, with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to meet the latest Tier 4 emissions standards, offers increased power ratings and fuel savings of up to 10%. Fuel economy is increased further with the standard engine shutdown feature, which limits engine idle time.”

CASE 821F wheel loader
CASE 821F wheel loader (engine power 205 hp/153 kW and operating weight 17 633 kg) – the 821F wheel loader, with a breakout force of 18 731 kg, a GP bucket capacity of up to 3,0 m³ and an articulated tipping capacity of 9 934 kg, ensures high productivity in arduous applications.

Case 621F, 821F and 921F models have a 6,7 litre engine and the 1021F has an 8,7 litre engine, all with high horsepower and torque ratings to deliver the exact power required for each task. The standard four-speed transmission, with a lock-up torque converter for improved acceleration and safe hill climbing. This transmission provides continuous short cycles for fast performance and high productivity. The POWERINCH™ declutching feature ensures accuracy and control when operating in tight settings, especially during truck loading.

A common-rail electronically-controlled certified diesel engine gives the operator four work modes to choose from (economy, standard, auto and maximum power) for optimum efficiency in any application. Benefits include better use of available power, lower fuel consumption, reduced wear on the engine and drive line, lower noise levels and reduced overall emissions.

CASE F-series wheel loaders maintain precise control of oil temperature in the axles to ensure dependable operation. The cooling module is now fitted higher in the chassis for improved performance and reduced running costs. This system, with an auto or manual reverse fan that clears dust and debris from the radiator fin, maintains temperatures at an optimum level for extended component life.

CASE 1021F wheel loader
CASE 1021F wheel loader (engine power 296 hp/221 kW and operating weight 24 399 kg) – notable features of these robust machines include advanced advanced engine technology, efficient transmission, high-productivity differential and axles, a low maintenance cooling design and enhanced ergonomics.

An open differential on the front and rear axles also prevents overheating and a differential lock on the front axles provides effective grip control on any surface, particularly on soft soil, where greater resistance is needed.

Special solid, foam-filled tyres and tyre chains can be fitted to cope with demanding applications, for example, the handling of scrapped materials like iron, wood, glass, plastics and civil organic waste.

The low vibration cab offers improved operator comfort and optimum safety. Advanced sound insulation materials and the electronic injection engine ensure reduced noise levels.

A low-effort, single-lever loader control joy stick incorporates a quick shuttle switch for faster, more precise operations. The operator chooses the working mode from within the cab, or the autopower facility can be selected, in which case the power curve is automatically matched to each application. All controls have been designed to be highly responsive to commands and digital displays enable clear reading in all lighting conditions.

For optimum safety and durability, the cabs of these wheel loaders are reinforced and are ROPS certified, ensuring operator protection against roll-over. These machines also available with XR (Extended Reach) linkage for a greater dump height and versatility.

Engine diagnostics are done inside the cab, enabling quicker detection of service needs. Maintenance is made easy with a full raise-up hood, environmentally-safe fluid drains, sight gauges and grouped, ground-level checkpoints.

CASE construction equipment, which includes backhoe loaders, compact track loaders, excavators, telehandlers and skid steers, is supported by CASE Construction Equipment SA national technical advisory, maintenance and spare parts service.
