Doosan DX300LCA hydraulic tracked excavators have advanced features for high productivity, improved operator comfort, enhanced safety and minimal maintenance requirements.
Advanced telematics and tracking technology – Doosan Connect
“A new feature of these machines is recently-launched Doosan advanced telematics and tracking technology – Doosan Connect – designed to make equipment and jobsites more efficient, economic and convenient,” says Darrel Holton, managing director, DISA Equipment (Pty) Ltd T/A Doosan, part of the Capital Equipment Group (CEG) of Invicta Holdings Limited. “For job site management, functions for the monitoring of equipment location information include GPS and geo-fence location and periodic operation and utilisation reports. To enhance work efficiency management, this system monitors operational trends, including the machine’s operating hours and actual work hours, as well as the provision of information on the current fuel status and accumulated mileage.
“Filter and oil management forms part of Doosan Connect’s preventative maintenance, by monitoring item replacement cycles. Alarms are set for replacing consumables like filters and oils. The proactive service of this system encompasses automatic gauge monitoring, alerts in the event of an antenna disconnection, alarms for equipment malfunction symptoms, as well as geo/time fence alerts.”
A telematics terminal, which is simply connected to the machine, is enhanced by a dual mode cellular or satellite communication system and the DoosanCONNECT web service, which allows users to monitor the machine’s status.
Doosan DX300LCA hydraulic excavators are powered by an environmentally-friendly air-to-air intercooler engine that delivers the best output in its class, as well as excellent fuel economy. The new e-EPOS system is connected to the engine electronic control via a data transfer link to synchronise the operation of the engine and hydraulics. This means improved productivity, higher operating capacity and lower fuel consumption.
Other features of this series include power ratings of 147 kW at 1 900 rpm and a side lifting capacity of 6,85 ton at 6 m reach and 3 m height.
Exceeded performance expectations in tough environments
According to Doosan customers, these machines, with a heavy-duty boom and arm boom, have exceeded performance expectations in tough environments. What’s impressive is the bucket digging force of 18 ton during excavation and notable traction provided by the improved drawbar pull of 25,2 ton.
Other positive feedback is the fuel efficiency and the large 500 ℓ capacity fuel tank, which enables the excavator to operate all day, without having to stop work for re-fuelling.
Operators appreciate the spacious cab design, with excellent visibility for increased safety on site. The control lever enables total control of equipment, facilitating tricky operations that require absolute precision. Easy access to components ensures quick and efficient maintenance, minimising downtime of the machine.
Doosan’s specially designed attachments – buckets, hydraulic breakers, pulverisers, crushers, multi-processors and grapples – are operated from inside the cab and powered by the electronic power optimising system. This hydraulic system, which has been designed for improved excavator control, optimises efficiency of the machine in all working conditions, also minimising fuel consumption.
DX300LCA hydraulic excavators are designed for high-efficiency in many industries, including civil engineering, construction and agriculture, as well as underground and surface mining.
