Fleet Safety Awards’ winners announced next week

The Fleet Safety Awards 2023 are just over a week away with even bigger prizes, an unmissable awards ceremony and, most importantly, the ultimate prioritisation of road safety from those committed to ensuring this. MasterDrive, their headline partners, Santam and Castrol, as well as all other category partners look forward to bringing the leading road safety event to fruition in just a few days.

The CEO of MasterDrive, Eugene Herbert, says the final results are being collated to reveal the category winners that will be awarded for their efforts in promoting road safety. “The growth of the Awards in just a year has allowed for three more categories to be added as well as for a distinction to be drawn between light, medium and heavy commercial vehicle categories.

“Not only will a Best Fleet Manager and Best Company be recognised but this year there will also be a Road Warrior, Best Employer and Best Truck Stop awarded. Consequently, we anticipate even greater success in 2023 both at the awards ceremony as well as in inspiring more organisations to follow the example set by the entrants of the Fleet Safety Awards.”

MasterDrive and all their partners strongly believe the Fleet Safety Awards are a way for all South Africans and corporations to show appreciation to those committed to road safety. “We thank all those involved in road safety, irrespective of the organisation they represent, that see the importance of improving road safety for every South African road user.

“Reducing the alarmingly high number of road fatalities is the responsibility of all South Africans and there is no better way to start this change than through corporates. With their scale and influence, the potential to change the state of South African roads is that much greater.”

Every organisation involved in, and that has pledged their support to the Fleet Safety Awards looks forward to awarding the winners next week and in coming years. Over the next few years, we expect even bigger and greater achievements from the awards. It is well on its way to becoming a tradition and major influence in improving South African road safety,” says Herbert.
