The Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI), Road Freight Association (RFA) and  the SA Bus Operators’ Association (SABOA) have issued firm recommendations to their member companies to attend Automechanika Johannesburg and Futuroad Expo 2023, as the major suppliers of parts and support services for their respective industry sectors will be participating in the Shows to engage with existing and potential customers and to share the latest technologies in their fields.

SABOA will be hosting its Annual Member Conference at the Show. Featuring the theme “Navigating Policy Uncertainty”, the Conference will include Government participation and authoritative speakers who will present on subjects vital to the well-being and sustainability of the bus and transportation sector in Southern Africa. It is an unparalleled forum for participation on crucial matters affecting the industry. “SABOA, the voice of the bus transportation sector, opted to host its Annual Conference at Futuroad Expo and Automechanika Johannesburg as these events constitute the established industry hub for Southern Africa of which the bus transportation sector is such an indivisible part,” says Sharmini Naidoo, Executive Manager of SABOA; “We encourage every member of the Association to attend the Conference and in so doing, enjoy the added benefit of  being part of the broader industry platform provided by these two outstanding international events”, she adds.

Ms Naidoo further indicated that an event which is of particular significance at this year’s SABOA Conference will be the first time that a Masterdrive Fleet Safety Award for the bus transportation industry as represented by SABOA, will be made at the Conference to the winning operator by Eugene Herbert, CEO of Masterdrive. She states, “We are delighted at  the recognition bestowed on the industry through this new award by Masterdrive.
