ISUZU Mozambique Showcases MY26 D-MAX to Key Clients

Isuzu’s authorised Mozambique dealer, Entreposto, recently hosted a customer event in Maputo to introduce the updated MY26 ISUZU D-MAX to fleet and key customers.

The event allowed Entreposto to engage directly with its fleet and key customers, introduce the latest MY26 D-MAX updates, and demonstrate the range’s capabilities in a practical driving environment. By enabling customers to experience the vehicles first-hand, the event also helped them understand the latest changes, including updated technology, enhanced performance, and improved warranty offerings.

“The opportunity to bring our customers together and allow them to experience the MY26 D-MAX first-hand was important to us. It gave customers the chance to see and feel the updates for themselves, while engaging directly with the ISUZU team on the latest offering”

said Romeu Rodrigues, Managing Director at ISUZU Mozambique.

The event brought together about 50 to 60 customers, who got behind the wheel of the latest D-MAX models and experienced the updates to the range first-hand.

Customers test-drove the 1.9 LS, 3.0 X-RIDER, Arctic and MU-X MY26 across different driving conditions, including a 4×4 track and a raceway. The test-drive experience was supported by the Drag Reduction System (DRS), which enabled mechanical safety and maximum performance gains.

Representing Isuzu Motors South Africa at the event, Mava Landu, Department Executive: Revenue Generation in Rest of Africa Markets, engaged with customers on the MY26 ISUZU D-MAX and the updates introduced with the latest range.

ISUZU: Power and Performance

Power and Performance

“The new D-MAX builds on the durability and capability that customers have come to expect from ISUZU, while introducing updates that respond to the way vehicles are used in our markets. Giving customers the opportunity to experience these changes for themselves is an important part of introducing the new range”

said Mava.

The seventh-generation D-MAX was developed with the demands of Southern African conditions in mind, with updates to its exterior styling, interior and technology, while retaining the durability and capability for which the D-MAX is known.

Assembled locally at the IMSAf plant in Gqeberha, South Africa, the MY26 D-MAX features updated exterior styling and a revised cabin, including physical rotary dials for the infotainment system. The range also includes technology and safety updates, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) on applicable models.

A key update introduced with the MY26 range is the improved 5-year/120 000 km warranty, providing customers with additional warranty coverage and supporting long-term ownership. The offering reinforces Isuzu’s commitment to being “With You for the Long Run.”

The MY26 ISUZU D-MAX has undergone extensive testing to validate its performance in demanding conditions, including an 88,000 km testing programme covering extreme heat, dust and corrugated gravel roads.

Power and Performance

The customer event provided an opportunity to experience the differences across the D-MAX range. The 1.9 LS allowed customers to experience the updated 1.9-litre DDi engine, while the 3.0 X-RIDER allowed them to explore the performance and handling of the larger engine on the raceway.

The Arctic and MU-X MY26 models were also included in the test-drive programme, giving customers the opportunity to experience the broader ISUZU offering across different driving environments.
