HPE Africa’s McCloskey S250 screener – one of the largest tracked-mounted mobile vibratory screening plants available – has been designed for highly-efficient aggregate material screening.
No compromise on efficiency or safety
“The McCloskey design team focuses on the development of machines that can be moved easily from site to site to boost productivity, with no compromise on efficiency or safety,” explains Rasheel Sukdhoe, McCloskey product manager, HPE Africa – exclusive distributors locally, for McCloskey International. “Features of the S250 screener include a quick on-site set-up time of approximately 15 minutes, a convenient remote-control tipping grid and integrated hydraulic folding stockpiling conveyors. This machine delivers all the power needed for maximum production, with the use of a 165 kW CAT engine.”
The heavy-duty high-energy 2 bearing 3 deck screenbox is side-tensioned, delivering more true screening area with 6 710 mm x 1 830 mm on the two upper decks and 6 100 mm x 1 830 mm on the bottom deck.
This system is available in double or triple-deck models, with 900 mm wide side conveyors and 800 mm wide auxiliary conveyors for higher material flow. The auxiliary conveyor features rollers, rather than sliding plastic and a solid frame, for reduced friction and thus greater efficiency.
All conveyors are now individually controlled
The hopper, with a maximum capacity of 10 m³, has a large grid opening, allowing for the use of larger loading shovels. All conveyors are now individually controlled for material flow speed and rollback. The hydraulic screenbox linkage system provides accessibility for efficient screen change and enables optimum screen coverage at varying screenbox angles. The power unit has also been simplified for easy access during maintenance and services.
For enhanced safety, this system has external belt alignment and grease points, an emergency engine shutdown facility and full safety guarding for nip points.
HPE Africa’s comprehensive range of McCloskey equipment includes jaw, cone and impact (horizontal and vertical) crushers; trommel and vibrating screeners, stacking conveyors and washing systems.
The company – which is also the exclusive distributor locally for Hyundai Construction Equipment and Soosan hydraulic hammers and quick couplers – offers a technical advisory, repair, maintenance and parts facility throughout southern Africa.
