Outdoor enthusiasts, including aspiring adventurers, should head north and west out of Gauteng for the return of the Outdoor & Adventure Expo from 15 to 17 August at the picturesque B’Sorah Farm in the Broederstroom valley in the Magaliesberg Mountains near Hartebeespoort Dam.

The 2025 Outdoor & Adventure Expo broke ground last year, making its mark as a family-friendly and purist outdoor lifestyle event within easy reach of major Gauteng hubs, with quality exhibitors focused on everything outdoor – from the latest 4x4s and 4×4 fitments, late-model and newly launched caravans, off-road caravans and trailers, outdoor clothing and apparel, specialised outdoor electronic equipment, camping equipment, braais, hiking and cycling gear, e-bikes and many more outdoor goodies.

This year visitors can join their host, André Verster of LR Classic, for the rugby test between the Springboks and the Aussies at the end of Saturday’s show activities in the beer tent. Endless food carts and children activities are available within just a few metres from the big screens.

The event’s unique layout is a special feature, set in a natural environment, with three distinctive exhibition areas. All the caravans, off-road caravans and trailers are together in one area, making it easy for day visitors to compare the products on offer – from the basic to the most modern and luxurious. All the 4×4 vehicles and 4×4 accessories are situated next to the caravan exhibition area, with the rest of the quality outdoor exhibitors together at the day-visitor entrance gate. The 4×4 vehicle section also offers a 4×4 demonstration track for exhibitors to showcase their 4×4’s capabilities, aftermarket suspensions and tyres, while some exhibitors even tow their off-road caravans on the 4×4 demonstration track – astonishing to watch the action up close!

You can enter for an easy hike as a beginner or on longer distances. Bring your own mountain bike for an exhilarating ride on the challenging trails or go for a test ride offered by one of our mountain bike and e-bike exhibitors. You can opt to do a guided self-drive 4×4 or SUV-friendly route or tackle our thrilling 4×4 obstacle course marshalled by the Off-Road Marshalling Unit of SA, offering exciting spectator value to enjoy the 4×4 fun in action.

This is a family friendly event and offers excitement for all ages – you can even bring your dog on a leach for an experience like no other. Lots of scrumptious quick-serving food and coffee carts, craft beer and gin, lots of seating under trees, beer tent with big screen TV to watch the Springboks vs Wallabies game from 16:30 on Saturday and the UFC bout between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev on Sunday around 10:00.

Amateur photographers are invited to bring their equipment to capture the breathtaking scenery and immerse in the best that Mother Nature has to offer.

Day visitor and camping tickets are available online at TicketPro. Camping tickets are available only online at TicketPro at R600pp including weekend expo access.

Day visitor tickets are also sold at the entrance gate as well as tickets for all the other activities, such as hiking, cycling and vehicle self-driving fun.

Weekend Camping

Prebook well in advance for a rustic camping experience from Friday to Sunday. While no electricity is available, amenities include a central water point, mobile VIP toilets, hot showers, and a central boma with a campfire and braai area. Please note – no fires permitted on the ground.

More Event Highlights

The Outdoor & Adventure Expo in Broederstroom is designed for the family and to captivate both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers to the adventure lifestyle. Apart from the outdoor exhibitors, highlights include:

* 4×4 Demonstration Track: Watch up-close action as exhibitors showcase the off-road capabilities of their vehicles and off-road caravans.
* Family Activities: Jumping castles, face painting, and more for kids.
* Food and Drink: Numerous food carts, bean-to-cup coffee vendors, hot and cold beverages, and a beer garden with nostalgic 70s and 80s background music, followed by live screening of South Africa versus Australia in the beer tent after 17:00 on Saturday as well as the Dricus fight on Sunday around 10:00.

* Saturday: R70 for pensioners and youth 7-18; adults R120
* Sunday: R70 for pensioners and youth 7-18; adults R120

* Guided 4×4 / SUV drive-outs: R100 per vehicle (no alcohol allowed)
