Tata Osprey cleared for landing in South Africa

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) South Africa is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated Tata Osprey will join its local line-up in the third quarter of 2026.

With more than one million customers globally, the Tata Osprey (known internationally as the Tata Nexon) is not only one of Tata Motors’ most successful SUVs but has ranked as India’s #1 selling car multiple times in the last few years. For South Africa, the model adopts the Osprey name.

The Tata Osprey is inspired by the versatility and adventurous spirit of the Osprey, a distinctive bird of prey found in parts of South Africa and combines bold design, advanced technology and segment-leading safety.

“South African customers increasingly demand vehicles that combine contemporary styling, technology, practicality and safety along with excellent value for money and the Tata Osprey delivers on all fronts,” says Jeff Allison, General Manager, Marketing and Product for Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles South Africa.
